DJ toRn – toRn started listening to trance back in ‘95. Always being a fan of EDM, not knowing where to go to find it. She really didn’t get introduced to it by anyone, but always said it was something that found her.
Living in the sticks in the south isn’t the best location to find or even listen to Trance. When people ask toRn what her favorite type of music is and she says Trance, they kinda give her that “deer in the headlights” look. toRn still gets it until she says something like “Yanno, the music in that movie, Night at the Roxbury”. Ok, It is a bad example to use, but at least they can kinda get an idea.
Trance has always been a big part in toRn’s life. It has brought her through rough times and there are a lot of good memories that can be tied to it. Trance has always been something she can turn to when she is having a bad day or if she just wants to chill out.
She has always wanted to give back to the Trance community and she finally got the chance when she met up with toshiRo. He offered her something she couldn’t refuse. And with that the Waves of Passion series was born.
And now you get to follow her love affair with Trance music and watch it grow…
Adrian Ravelo – At the age of 19, Adrian Ravelo has already experienced the wonder of performing for others at all sorts of events around the US. It all started at the age of 9 when Adrian’s passion for electronic music grew exceptionally big thanks to the likes of The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, Prodigy, Fluke and other big beat acts around at the time.
Eventually as his curiosity grew and as time went on, He found himself engulfed into the sound of trance. Around this time, His older brother was already Mobile DJing at Weddings and other events. Soon there after, at the age of 12, Adrian finally got his hands dirty. He quickly got a taste of what it’s like to be behind decks and He was hooked. He picked up the feel for the music rather quickly but after 2 years experimenting with trance, it just wasn’t working for him.
While He began to hone his mixing abilities, Adrian found himself playing more and more house and progressive trance in his mix sets. It didn’t take long for the makeover to take over. Adrian eventually found himself molding heavy loaded bassline sounds with rich, enticing, melodies. The rest is history.
Currently Adrian is one of New York City’s fastest growing young up and coming DJs/Producer. Adrian has already performed at all sorts of parties and events and has even played along side of some the the industries biggest names such as George Acosta, Saeed Younan, Filo & Peri and others.
Adrian Ravelo is now the host of an exciting mix show that focuses on the atmosphere provided by mix sets called Cloud Nine Mix Sessions. The show has featured some of the hottest names in EDM such as Nick Warren, Austin Leeds, Jody Wisternoff, Perry O’Neil, Jaytech, Mashtronic, Flash Brothers and others who have delivered in killer fashion to stay true to the shows theme.
Who knows where DJing will lead Adrian, but one thing is for sure, Adrian will continue to hammer tunes that move him and move others.
